Though made "legal" by treaties, the Indian Removal Act lead to one of the greatest crimes perpetrated against Native Americans...the Trail of Tears.
Although we have not abandoned our examination of resistance in Florida, I felt it important to cover the Indian Removal Act an its effect on Native Americans. The limitations of space prohibited a detailed exploration, but the coming weeks will show just how this "death march" perpetrated against Indian tribes effected the coarse of history.
