While Red Eagle's rebellion only last a few months, he did manage to divert the resources of the United States away from the more pressing British invasion during the War of 1812. He had managed to hit hard and cause serious damage to the border states when General Andrew Jackson was brought in to curtail his attacks. What exactly did the Red Stick Rebellion accomplish, and how did it affect the course of Creek historical development. This article examined the early stages of Creek resistance but it only gleaned the surface of their efforts to prevent the erosion of their rights. Next we will ook at the settlement of the rebellion and just how it effected both sides.
