In response to the Indian Removal Act, the Seminole Nation once more took up arms against the United States. They evetually fought the Americans to a draw.

Last week, we took a look at the Indian Removal Act and how it displaced the Five Civilized Tribes (Seminole, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Creek, and Choctaw). This week, I thought it best to continue our previous examination of the Seminole Nation and their war of resistance against the United States and also examine how the act affected these five tribes. Future articles will exmine how the remaining tribes were put out by the passage of the Indian Removal Act. This will fit in with the next phase of thise site, the evolution and status of native culture with respect to historicial interaction with whites.
